bucket render for still images

Kray user.

Still waiting for very useful option: bucket render for still images.
Situation is funny: I have here Dual Xeon 72HT (v4) and sending for me to render farm panorama scene  with 10.000 pix is "unprofitable" with time.
It would be nice to have this option and use for one render image hundreds of cores and get panorama in 10-30 min.

Technical environment for that is not difficult: is enough to save Photon Map (not GI!) it takes 1-2 minutes and use all render Nodes with option LOAD.
I can help with this: tutorial how create photon map solution (it is a couple of kilobytes and needs very basic procedures).
Of course overlapping is necessary even when we use QMC sampling.

Re: bucket render for still images

Hi. We are working on adding distributed rendering system for Lightwave still shots (both renderers - internal and Kray). A small update should be released soon.
For now - you can render any kind of pre-cached-GI scene with no problems. Please just make GI cache, and connect it to scene with "from file" or similar mode.
We got some super fast render nodes (with top E5 cpu) so rendering one frame-still shot should not take much time to complete.
