High renderBeamer memory usage

Hello there guys,

I've noticed that on my system (and on a few other computers I happen to use from time to time), the memory amount utilized by renderBeamer can skyrocket up to as much as 600 MB. While it is not relatively high comparing to the memory capacity of my machines (which vary from 4 to 8 gigabytes), the absolute value of RAM usage is quite remarkable. Is this anything I should be worried about?

Looking forward to your reply.

Re: High renderBeamer memory usage

Hi,

renderBeamer will take a portion of your RAM if its available, the more physical RAM you have the more RAM renderBeamer can use, there is no need to worry if it uses hundreds of MB or over 1GB.
To lower your memory usage you can reduce the queue size to 1 , and reduce upload and download threads.
If renderBeamer has a lot of memory allocated after uploading/downloading a lot of data and you want to release that memory to the system you can simply restart renderBeamer.
